Hourglass has such beautiful palettes. I love their powders and their blushes. So you can imagine my excitement when I got to try the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit – Unlocked Tiger Palette 2022. Hourglass released three Ambient Lighting Edit Palettes for Holiday 2022. Butterfly, Elephant and Tiger. All three palettes are beautiful. It was hard to pick just one.
The Sephora website says “A limited-edition palette, featuring photoluminescent technology and exclusive packaging by artist Katie Scott.”

The Tiger Palette comes in a tiger themed packaging. Moreover the powders are contained in a beautiful teal tin container with a magnetic closure. The back of the palette has some shade information. Hourglass has included a nice sized mirror inside.
Formula Of The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit – Unlocked Tiger Palette
According to Hourglass Cosmetics “The six-pan palette includes Ambient Lighting Powder in Transcendent Light and Ambient Lighting Blush in Iridescent Rose, along with four new shades of blush and highlighter to diffuse, enhance, and add glow to the complexion. Utilizing our groundbreaking Photoluminescent Technology, the powders filter out harsh light and enhance skin in any type of light, including flash photography. The shades can be used individually or layered together for a multi-dimensional, soft-glow finish.” Also these powders are Vegan and Cruelty-free. Moreover these powders can be used wet for a more dramatic effect.

My Experience
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Tiger Palette is marketed for beauties with a deeper complexion. However even with my medium skintone I liked the color story a lot and wanted the Tiger Palette. I cannot use the face powder as a face powder but I have found other ways to use it, eg as bronzer and an eyeshadow. Additionally all the powders are finely milled and can also be built up.
The blushes are stunning and I use them with a light hand. Next up are the highlighters which I also use with a light hand. The highlighters look beautiful on the eyes too. Without a doubt, I am glad that I picked up the Tiger Palette. Initially what drew me to the palette is the Burnished Glow Blush shade. As I read more information I realized that this palette has 4 new shades. In fact I have a lot of Hourglass products and having new shades is always better than have repeat shades in multiple palettes.
This palette is pigmented, buildable and will compliment medium and deeper skin tone beauties. Some one with a lighter skin tone will have to use an extremely light hand and will have to do a lot of blending for these pigmented shades to work on them them. Summing up, the Tiger Palette does not disappoint. Beautiful packaging and beautiful powders.
