New Fenty Beauty Icon Velvet Liquid Lipstick Review And Swatches

Whenever Rihanna comes out with a new makeup product it instantly goes viral. Especially if she wore it to the Superbowl half time. Rihanna recently released the Fenty Beauty Icon Velvet Liquid Lipstick. And rumor has it that she wore one of the shades to the Superbowl, and she looked fabulous, so I wanted to try that red!

The Sephora website says “A liquid lipstick with head-turning hues that stays while feeling plush and comfy.”

These liquid lipsticks come in a light pink reflective tube, with the brand name written across the tube. The lipstick wand has a doe foot applicator. I like that you can see the shade of the color inside.

My Experience

I tried two shades The MVP and H.B.I.C. Both these shades are stunning. There is just something so very special about red lipstick. These have a mousse like texture and are extremely pigmented. The texture felt soft and comfortable on my lips. However these transfer like crazy. Which is a bummer. Because I really loved both the reds.

Since the color comes off so easily, it got over my chin and under my nose at some point during my shopping trip. The Fenty Beauty Icon Velvet Liquid Lipstick would make a beautiful stain though, in my opinion. So long story short, stunning shades but they are not kiss-proof. During my shopping trip this beautiful shade migrated to my chin and I hastily tried some clean up but the remnants of the lipstick can still be seen in the above pic.
