The sell-out Aldi heated clothes airer is back – and just in time for the colder months. The classic horizontal design costs just £39.99 and is available to preorder online from this Sunday, October 2nd, hitting stores the following week.
If you were on the fence about buying one of the best heated clothes airers, now is your chance. Aldi’s offering is significantly cheaper than its competitors and won’t be around for long. This year, the store also has a three-tiered version (£89.99) complete with a case for extra speedy drying times.

Aldi heated clothes airer
The Aldi heated clothes airer is a bargain at £39.99 – that’s 27% cheaper than one from Argos (£55) and 43% less than Currys’ version (£69.99). It sold out back in February, so set a reminder on your phone and pre-order yours on the Aldi website (opens in new tab) this weekend.
It has 20 individual heating tubes, providing a large surface for drying bed sheets and towels quickly, and plenty of space to hang t-shirts, trousers and socks. For under £40, you’ll be freed from the constant sight of a drying rack of damp clothes in the living room through winter.
The 230W Aldi heated clothes airer is also lightweight and has foldable wings, so will fit in easily with utility room storage ideas or under the bed/sofa. When you have a load of washing ready for drying, simply unfold it and plug it in.

Heated clothes airers have seen a huge increase in search as people look for cheaper ways to get their laundry done after the rise in the energy price cap. The Aldi heated clothes airer costs around 8p to run per hour, and given the higher cost of running a tumble dryer, it could help you save money in the long run.
As well as being energy efficient and making laundry less of a headache, it can help to keep your house warm in winter. Ideal Home Deputy Editor Becky Knight wouldn’t be without hers.
‘As well as toasty socks on demand, the added benefit of a heated airer is that it can double as a radiator during the winter months,’ says Becky. ‘I snapped one up last year, and catch myself waiting for laundry day, and the added boost of warmth from the dryer when I’m watching the TV in the living room,’ she says.

In addition to the original heated clothes airer, Aldi is selling a heated airer with three tiers. It comes complete with a cover to help dry clothes fast, getting things extra toasty by trapping in the heat.
Priced at £89.99, it’s almost half the price of a similar version at Lakeland and 67% cheaper than one from Wayfair. It’s a perfect addition to small utility room ideas and a total saviour if you’ve got a high volume of laundry to get done.
